Hydal Electricity generated by WAPDA varies between two extremities i.e. between minimum of
2414 MW and maximum  of 6761 MW depending upon the river flow through the whole year.
Total Power Generation Capacity of Pakistan (including all sources) is 19855 MW and the
electricity demand (as of today 20-04-2010) is 14500 MW and PEPCO is merely generating
10000 MW.
So it is obvious that these 15-20 hrs power shutdowns in most parts of the country are not
because of the lack  of generation capacity but only because of IMF / World Bank policies
imposed on our nation by Govt. The Power Generation companies are not buying Furnace
Oil from PSO by saying they don’t have money to do that but we are all paying for Electricity
that is generated from Furnace Oil. This is the reason that top  refineries like PRL are operating
at 40% capacities. IMF / World bank has imposed to reduce budget deficit  by importing
less crude oil. But due to this fact all our industries are under severe crisis. None of our
political  party who are in Assembly is ready to speak on it because every one is blessed by
US / IMF / World Ban k.
Dear Pakistani’s,
This is a time to show your social activism your power and strength. It is your silence which is
deafening and your couldn’t care less attitude which makes the people in power more powerful
evasive and secure in their Air conditioned offices.
PLEASE STAND UP AND BE COUNTED:
Please create awareness,  spread the message …….

WE WANT ELECTRICITY IN PAKISTAN.

Electricity now is @11 Rs. per unit, and it will increase after every two months as directed
by (American) IMF policies.
Also CHINA offers to Pakistan Electricity for just Rs.200 Monthly Bill and Unlimited
Usage of Electricity but our government is not taking the offer seriously. This is because
there will be neither kick backs nor  any commissions to be pocketed by the strong mafia
of politicians and bureaucrats.  These people are there because of your votes. Let them serve
you rather than rule you……

NOW THIS IS OUR TIME TO SHOW THE GOVERNMENT YOUR STRENGTH.

The youngest IT certified professional Aarifa Karim is hospitalised and in critical condition Aarifa Karim, a Pakistani girl from Faisalabad who became the world’s youngest Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) in 2004 at the age of nine, is in a critical condition in a hospital in Lahore, Express News

Karim’s father told Express News that she had an epileptic attack on December 22 which damaged her heart and her brain. Doctors said that she is on a ventilator and they might have to unplug her machines as there are hardly any chances of saving her, but they cannot take any decision against the family’s will. After the news of Karim’s condition emerged, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif took notice of it and announced providing economic support to the family, but Karim’s family refused to take the money. Karim had also earned the Fatima Jinnah gold medal and Salam Pakistan Youth Award in 2005 over her achievement, and was also invited to the Microsoft Headquarters in the US by Bill Gates for being the World’s youngest MCP. Karim earned her first flight certificate by flying a plane at a flying club in Dubai at the age of 10, and was invited by Microsoft in 2006 to be a key-note speaker at the Tech-Ed Developers Conference, where she was the only Pakistani among over 5,000 developers. She is currently 16 years old and is studying at Lahore Grammar School Paragon Campus.

I pray to ALLAH the Most Merciful for her health and full recovery soon (a’ameen). Let everyone of us pray for her five times in our prayers. Long live Aarifa Karim.

He was born on 28 April 1943 in Kunjah, Gujrat District. He was commissioned into the Frontier Force Regiment on 19 April 1964. Major Shabbir Sharif ( شبیر شریف رانا), as commander of a company of 6 Frontier Force Regiment, was ordered in December 1971 to capture high ground near Sulemanki Headworks defended by more than a company of the Assam Regiment supported by a squadron of tanks. In a well organized superhuman action, for the next three days and nights after crossing a minefield and massive obstacles and killing forty-three soldiers and destroying four tanks, Major Shabbir Sharif and his men held two enemy battalions at bay. But after he took over an anti-tank gun from his gunner in an attack he embraced martyrdom by a direct hit in the afternoon of 6 December 1971.
